"Chuck is such a gentle, caring, encouraging teacher. He looks for the positive and concentrates on the process/journey rather than the end product. This means that I felt confident delivering average photographs for the assignment as long as they showed how I had been trying to apply the particular concept we were working on.

The class itself teaches some very valuable concepts and techniques broken into small enough chunks for our brain to process. Time for the assignments is quite short but long enough to practice on subjects available to us. It's not about producing our best work as much as starting to see differently and practice.

Small groups live lessons and critiques are great! We can ask questions, explain our process and talk about our struggles and it increases the takeaways by 200% if you compare it to a class where you cannot talk directly to the teacher...I feel more confident in my skills to create better, stronger, more intentional images.

Small groups live lessons and critiques are great! We can ask questions, explain our process and talk about our struggles and it increases the takeaways by 200% if you compare it to a class where you cannot talk directly to the teacher. Half of the learning also comes from the other students, the "critiques" of their assignments and their questions.

At the end of the course, I feel more confident in my skills to create better, stronger, more intentional images. Now the key is to keep working on them until they become second nature.
